Sarah began working for Bon Appétit 9 years ago as the catering manager at the Getty Villa. She graduated from the University of California, Santa Barbara with a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology and Art History. While in school, she dreamt about working at a museum one day. Valerie Vance |
Event Manager

Valerie joins Huntington Hospitality as an Event Manager with 11 years specializing in event planning and a collective 20 years in the hospitality industry. Starting as a server in 1997, Valerie worked her way up the ladder to become a General Manager and eventually opened her own wedding and event planning business at age 26. Valerie rejoined the hospitality business as the Catering Director with Centerplate at The McAllen Convention Center.   She has continued to grow and develop her career since then, recently working as the Catering Director for The University Club of Pasadena.
Born and raised in Texas, Valerie still finds comfort in a giant chicken fried steak (approximately the size of Texas) with gravy and mashed potatoes, barbecue ribs, and coleslaw. Despite the comfort Valerie finds in structure and coordination, she admits that to get these wild and crazy ideas every once in a while, you need to do super adventurous things, like learning how to surf or sky dive. She loves the outdoors and being adventurous!
